Position Description:

SeeScan is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (GIS) to assist in the creation of our next-generation utility locating platform. Our ideal candidate combines a creative mindset with analytical problem solving and advanced technical skills.

In this position, you will:
-Mobilize your expertise in GIS principles and software design to lead the development of our most advanced utility locating ecosystem to date
-Use positional data collected from our utility locating equipment to model accurate geospatial maps of buried utilities
-Participate in the full software development lifecycle with a focus on front-end development
-Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers designing new application features
-Maintain a clean, robust, and scalable codebase

Your background:
-Angular and TypeScript experience
-At least five years’ on-the-job experience in front-end software development
-Advanced understanding of GIS technology
-Demonstrated success in designing software that delivers exceptional user experiences
-Proven proficiency in driving new product development
-Motivated by genuine curiosity and the desire to apply one’s skills to solving real-world challenges

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $180,000 annually. This range represents a good faith estimate based on the qualifications we expect to find in a successful candidate. Actual compensation offered may be less or greater than this estimate based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, our assessment of your ability to bring value to our organization.
