Overview
The GIS (Geographic Information System) Solutions Engineer Level I-III is the subject matter expert for the development, testing, and deployment of software tools within the geospatial environment. Responsible for the creation of solutions, assuring integration, and advising clients of future technical implementations. Includes designing and developing GIS mapping applications, geoprocessing tools, and supporting technologies to support District strategy, understanding client needs , analyzing end-user issues while providing solutions, providing demonstrations, creating guides and documentation to explain GIS application use to customers, providing maintenance and support of GIS applications and mapping systems, assisting in quality assurance checks on GIS systems, and recommending updates or new techniques when applicable.
