Innovate! Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its geospatial solutions team as a Senior GIS Developer. You may be called upon to assist with the design, development, and maintenance of geospatial applications through the concept, design, and implementation phases. Your role will also include supporting other personnel in utilizing GIS applications and software as well as interfacing with clients and teaming partners.

Candidate can work remotely.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Ten (10) or more years of experience performing application development with five (5) years performing GIS application development including web-based GIS applications. Proven experience with documenting code and performing version control using industry standards tools.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Designs, develops, and/or deploys geospatial applications/capabilities to support business/mission activities.
Familiar with maintaining or creating geospatial application program interfaces (API) including but not limited to ESRI's ArcGIS Server APIs (JavaScript, REST and Python).
Experience with multiple JavaScript libraries (Dojo, jQuery, Leaflet, etc.).
Ability to leverage past and present versions of geospatial software programs including ESRI's ArcGIS products (ArcGIS Server, etc.).
Thorough understanding of ESRI Enterprise platform.
Proficiency with .NET, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, Python, and Java.
Familiarity with RDBMS software including but not limited to Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
Strong technical written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to clearly communicate concepts and ideas.
Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a multi-discipline team.

WORK ROLE DESCRIPTION

Application development and computer programming of GIS and complementary business system capabilities and integration of GIS applications with other systems and relational databases.
Development and implementation of test plans and automated test scripts.
Works in solo and team environments using industry standards and source code control systems according to tailored software development lifecycle methodologies.
Participates in and may lead the functional and system design and architecture for new applications.
May act as lead on a specific project or technical area.
EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field.
