Tejon Ranch Company (NYSE: TRC) is a growth-oriented, diversified real estate development and agribusiness company whose principal asset is its 270,000-acre land holding located approximately 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 25 miles south of Bakersfield tucked between the beautiful Tehachapi Mountains and Los Padres National Forest.

The company is currently seeking applicants for GIS positions at all levels to provide spatially accurate and intelligence based geographic information and analysis to support in business-critical decision-making efforts centered around its core operations: Commercial/Industrial Real Estate Development, Resort/Residential Project Planning & Development, Mineral & Water Resources, Farming & Ranch Operations and Natural Resources.

The variety of GIS work conducted at Tejon Ranch is primarily focused on the development and maintenance of the Tejon Ranch Commerce Center, a 1,450 acres commercial/industrial complex located south of Bakersfield at the bottom of the Grapevine. Efforts include the design, development, maintenance, and analysis of GIS data relating to land planning, engineering, marketing, and automated mapping/facility management (AMFM). Practical experience working with wet/dry utility data and easement/right-of-way Title research is preferred but not required.

The collective role of the GIS team is to support and assist in maintenance of SQL databases; develop web applications for ArcGIS Portal using Web App Builder or Experience Builder; migrate AutoCAD drawings into AMFM data models, perform coordinate geometry (COGO) and heads-up digitizing; conduct geoprocessing and spatial analysis; capture ortho imagery, photography and videography operating a DJI drone and Drone2Map software; in-the-field GPS and attribute editing using Field Collector mobile app; and provide high-end cartographic map production using ESRI’s ArcGIS Enterprise suite of products.

Preferred Experience Levels:
1. ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION: ESRI Technical Certificate and/or Professional GIS instruction validating entry-level mapping, visualization, editing, and geodatabase workflow tasks OR equivalent 12-18 months of ArcGIS Desktop experience.
2. MID-LEVEL POSITION: 3-5years ArcGIS Pro experience
3. HIGH-LEVEL POSITION: 5-8 years ArcGIS Enterprise experience
4. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,etc.
5. Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite: Acrobat Pro, Adobe Illustrator, etc.

Desired Skill:
1. Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience
2. Experience with ArcGIS Pro 3.x and versioned editing
3. Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise Systems
4. Experience with ArcGIS Portal Map Builder or Experience Builder web app developer software
5. Experience with Microsoft’s SQL Server RDMS Administration
6. Ability to read and COGO metes & bounds surveys
7. Ability to decipher engineering plans
8. Experience migrating AutoCAD drawings into GIS environment
9. Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) pilot’s license and/or experience operating a drone
10. Good database entry skills
11. Good oral and written communication skills
12. Good research skills, particularly regarding title encumbrances
13. Good project management skills
