Position Description:

Lake Worth Drainage District is seeking to hire a Geospatial Technician, which is a technical position responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Computer-Aided Design (CAD). The role involves the creation, maintenance, and analysis of geospatial and CAD data, as well as the production of maps, reports, canal profiles and other related products. This position provides GIS support to the Administrative, O&M, and Regulation Departments. Work is performed under the supervision of the IT/GIS Manager.

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent certification, supplemented with courses in GIS, AutoCAD, surveying, and drafting. Two (2) years of experience working with GIS, AutoCAD, surveying, and drafting. May have a Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, or a closely related field, with one (1) year of experience in GIS mapping and or CAD drafting preferred but not required. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted one for the other on a year-for-year basis. A valid driver’s license is required.

Pay: $23.81 - $31.55 per hour
